Critical Book Review
“A critical book review is not the same as a book report, which merely summarizes the content of the text. Rather, we are asking you to write a focused analysis that balances a small amount of summary with your interpretation of key points of interest addressed by the author. This entails choosing one or two themes or topics in the book providing your reflections on the quality of information, the logic and substance of the argument(s), and the quality of the writing. A critical book review starts with a thesis and sets out to support it by making direct references to points made by the author” Professor Jonathon Simon, Boston University
